The Five Advantages Of The Bristol Thermal Pasteurizer Process

Bristol combines high-speed disc centrifuge technology with thermal pasteurization to enhance the recovery potential of quality water soluble metalworking fluids. Five distinct advantages arise from the utilization of the thermal pasteurization / high speed centrifuge technology.

1. Increased Separation Efficiency.

Tramp oil removed down to one quarter of one per cent (0.0025) of the total fluid volume.
Particulate matter above a specific gravity of 1.0 down to 1 Micron at 0.1% of total fluid volume.

2. Maximum recovery of coolant thus minimizing waste generation.

The Thermal Pasteurization process compresses a biological "rag" layer that is typically the upper one-third of the coolant volume. The rag layer is removed with the tramp oil and therefore, 100% of the coolant is recovered for reuse.

3. Reduced Maintenance.

The thermal pasteurization process eliminates the buildup of residue impurities within the centrifuge distributor and disc
stack and therefore dramatically reduces the labor associated with centrifuge maintenance requirements.

4. Thermal Destruction of H2S gas.

The thermal pasteurization process will eliminate the foul smelling odor associated with used or recycled coolants by
means of thermally destroying H2S gas.

5. Thermal Pasteurization of Biological Activity.

The Bristol coolant recovery process will pasteurize the biological activity in the coolant down to the level of freshly mixed coolant (expresses as 1 x 10.2 in a standard plate count test). Due to the usage of thermal pasteurization, the coolant will require substantially less or eliminate the need of biological addition.
